Understanding Data Ownership

FilesRhino operates within the Whop platform. When you access files through a download link, the Seller who created that link is primarily responsible for how your data is used. For questions about a specific seller's data practices, please contact them directly.

What Data We Collect

Email Collection (When Required)

When you download files through email-required share links, we may collect:

Email address (required for access)
Name (if you provide it)
Timestamp of your consent
Browser/device information

Why We Collect It

Data is collected to verify download access and provide sellers with download analytics. Your data is shared only with the seller whose link you accessed. We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How Long We Keep It

By default, data is retained for 365 days from collection, but sellers can configure shorter retention periods. You can request deletion at any time, and your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Why are tracking codes retained? When watermarking is enabled, files contain a unique tracking code. If a file is leaked, this code helps sellers investigate. After deletion, the tracking code remains but cannot be linked back to your identity—ensuring security without compromising your privacy.

How We Protect Your Data

Encryption

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest using industry-standard encryption.

Access Control

Your data is only accessible to the seller whose link you used and authorized FilesRhino systems.

No Third-Party Sharing

We never sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Automatic Deletion

Data is automatically deleted after the retention period (default 365 days, configurable by sellers).
